I went on Wednesday night when church choirs were performing with the Pacific Choral. It was beautiful. Listening to FVHS makes me so nostalgic for my HS and college choir days. The Troubadors were fantastic. The blend and pitch perfect. I know they had limited rehearsal time with Whitacre and they performed like pros. And yes Whitacre looks more like a rockstar hearthrob than a choral composer. Until they started working with him some of the church choir ladies had two responses, "Swoon" and "Who is this kid? (he's 38) He looks like he could be mowing my lawn." He reheased in jeans and a t-shirt.
